Aerial Filmworks provides the newest LiDAR technology in a custom integration where point density can exceed 500 points per square meter. Our custom systems provides a solution where LiDAR plus nadir and oblique imagery can be simultaneously acquired. Our Phase One cameras include a 100 and 150 megapixel sensors with a range of calibrated lenses.
Corridor Solutions: Wide Acquisition Swath from Low Altitudes
We custom designed our LiDAR pods to provide high resolution data on 69KV (or lower) electric structures, and for distribution networks. These poles are typically wood single or H-frame construction with a minimal footprint when viewed top down. Our airborne “mobile mapping” integration positions the scanners to “paint” both front and back of the poles while acquiring an “X” pattern on the cross arms and hardware. The following schematic illustrates our LiDAR integration maximizing the points on each pole.
The newest technology allows Aerial Filwmorks to acquire high-quality LiDAR data from a lower altitude. In addition, the Riegl scanners enable 330 degree wide field-of-view for unprecedented coverage of canyons and steep terrains.
